When you "feel" the trailer get light with the seat of your pants along with a strong side force - you know its time to put it down for the day. Slow down, and find the nearest safe place you can park the truck. Head or tail into the wind to avoid getting blown over. I usually park tail into the wind so the trailer takes any debris that's getting blown along.

You're going to endure wind whether you're hauling a light or heavy load. The windier it is the slower you wanna go so your trl does'nt fishtail in the other lane hitting a vehicle. It's best to drive close to the shoulder so you have that extra room in your lane in case your trl does fishtail. You go to Wyoming, they have more windy days then not.
