amen on all of the above u2. it is pretty much the same with my trainer,we are running pretty hard right now, not much rest but i am getting more and more experience and more money. the training has been excellent as i only have 15000 more to go til i am on my own for the last 20000.everyone benefits from this style of training( i was skeptical at first) but the more situations you as a noob come across the more you will be comfortable with when your by yourself apt to make less mistakes.

My trainee when I was there picked up my check everytime he was awake. Whether it was a coffee or a meal at a T/S he paid for it. I enjoyed doing the whole team thing, got to see more of the country.

I certainly hope I get a trainer as good as U2 or some of the others I have heard described. It will make all the difference in the world to my chance of success.

If you don't you can request for a new one, I pitched my first one after 10 days in the middle of Va. We met my new one and went our ways, I'm happy now and hopefully it will work out. Take Care TD.:biggrin_25525:

milskired-First thank you for your service to our country. Good luck with prime i hope things go well and i look forward to reading your posts as i am considering applying with them. Are you pulling a reefer?

U2exit-How long have you been with prime and where in va do you live if you dont mind me asking? I live in md and I am considering applying with them and I have a couple questions for you what division are you in? How long do you stay out for? Roughly what would you say your runs average mileage wise? And finally are you a company or l/p driver? Thank you in advance for your time and be safe out there!

Wow. I've been reading some positive things. I hit Prime on the 21 of this month for orientation. I'm a newbie but I'm going to soak all of this in. I want to learn this and prove I can do it. I have never been beyond Ohio so there is a TON of the country I haven't seen either.

Good for you! You've made your decision, stick with it and soak it up. It isn't all roses, but make the most of it and you'll be just fine.
    Best of luck to you!

That's going to change pretty quick. Took me about 1 year (almost to the day) to visit all 48 of the continental states. I hit the majority of those states during the first 4 months while I was teaming with my trainer. A team truck covers a lot of ground, very quickly!

    Best of luck to you!

Jeeze, one year? It took me over 3 years to get to North Dakota.
