Looks like a fair quote for over 500 mile radius. I would NOT however give them access to my ELD (offered to me as well). Read the fine print, you might get a discount but the price could also go up. Ever go faster than posted speed limit. Take CA, OR and WA as examples if you run there, 55, 60 and 60 respectively for trucks. 99% don't run 55 in CA anything over is going to be logged/noted etc....don't know to what extent but I just wouldn't do it. My .02 for what it's worth.

That's a good quote if it's 48 states. Not so good if not IMO. My first year was about that. 4th or 5th year now I'm at $8500.
First year I could not pay in full but every year since I have. The savings is worth it. Do the math on borrowing the full payment if you don't have it and you still might beat the monthly by paying in full on a CC or loan and paying the interest. Is your credit good enough to get some 0 interest CC offers? Stack a couple and pay them off quick if necessary.
I WILL NOT let them have my ELD data. I draw the line there.gekko1323 and God prefers Diesels Thank this. -

Not many loads require over $100k cargo, you could save some money there by lowering it to 100k. And if there is a load requiring 200k, its not gonna pay much different because they are requiring more insurance. And not enough of those loads to justify the extra cost.

Someone correct me but, I was told that the 500 miles radius was as follows.....
The progressive agent told me that if I stayed with the 500 mile radius quote that %51 of my ifta miles have to be within 500 miles of my home zip code. Its not like I couldnt take a load to Wisconsin or something while living in North Carolina.gekko1323 and God prefers Diesels Thank this. -
wonder what his insurance rider for that load costs ?gekko1323 and God prefers Diesels Thank this. -
