I started trucking at about the same age as you and Im stiill here and enjoying it 5 years later as an otr driver. But you will find that the pay will not be as good as you might be thinking. Sitting around for hours and hours and sometimes days gets old. Driving from sundown to sunup isn't any fun either. Getting home on a certain date for family or doctor appts is always a problem. I don't work for may so I don't know how they run there operation, but there are plenty of people posting on this site who seem to be happy at the way may is doing things.
