    My wife works for a company owned by an insurance company and she still talks about our former Teamster Insurance as being the Cadillac Plan. Even when she was a Union Nurse for Ford she stayed on my insurance because the UAW plan didn’t compete with the Teamsters Plan. One would be hard pressed to find better insurance anywhere and you won’t pay a dime for the coverage. Prescriptions were very cheap and copays are much less than anywhere else I know of. We aren’t facing your situation so I wouldn’t leave my gig for better insurance, but I can definitely see where it could drastically benefit you. Good Luck!

    Some locations were, some locations weren't. Mine isn't. I could transfer to the union location not far from my home, but from what I gather, they don't get much in return for their dues and are still paying over $125 for health insurance for a family.
