Interesting they've changed the trainee pay...not a fan of this. I ran hard with my mentor for a month. $450 a week, but after taxes and whatnot, it was like working for peanuts. So much better when you go solo. Can't imagine per hour pay for training.

Checked my notes. Asked recruiter 3 times on training pay cause on line it gave set amounts. Expect 420-495 a wk. raised a red flag. How could it vary if set amount ? Why can't they just be up front on matter? Not as though you're taking a vacation during this time. Doesn't seem to set a positive tone going forward.

Training pay is minimum wage for your home state for on duty not driving. Minimum wage plus a dollar for driving. Remember if you burn up hours on duty not driving, where will you find the hours to drive?
fr8monkey Thanks this. -
well your going to get your hours whether its 9 or 10 hours, does it matter? your not going to sit there at the shipper/consignee that long so its really not going to matter that much with your hours. I see what your saying though about getting done with your 240 quick. Thats good advice too, but getting done quick doesn't mean jack cause then your waiting another two weeks(without pay) for a truck. So you might as well get a little extra on your check here and there.

Anyone run the Great Lakes routing?

When you get to Phoenix do this. Over on the other side of the truck wash is a small building where they issue and trade in trucks. Walk into the building and ask to be put on a list. Should take a day or two most. Just ask where the building is when you get there if you can't find it. It is on the side of the truck wash. The lady is real nice...

You have to be proactive to get #### done. Swift doesn't know which hand is which. Phx is the only place you will get anywhere. Another option is to ask if they need anything delivered locally that may help. With the money part of it. The money is crap and 200_300 is about right. Really depends on the trainer and such. I hate this place, with a passion. I have to pay the money back so at least one of us has to keep there end of the bargain up. I wouldn't recommend chasing a truck down at all. You may or not get paid for it. You are going to learn real quick when you are on solo about getting screwed out of your money fast. Layover.. Breakdown.. And my personal favorite. Detentions. Don't even bother with collecting on it. That's right you won't. We just had 16 wrecks in March on my fleet. Should be some openings real soon.

Sorry for the horrible spelling. English is not my first language. -
still waiting I dont get it they know they have trucks in phox but ayet they let me sit. I got a question how often do solo drivers only get one bunk? I have someone coming with me and am worried that there will only be one bed
-
I will tell you why because all the other comanys out do haveset amounts if ihad known this before I would have gone some place else I may endup doing that anyway
-
i went down there every other day until i got the truck i wanted. it really depends on whats avaiable that day. i was skipped over two times even with a number. dont count on two bunks anyway.

the amounts in the advertising our wrong and very misleading. the attorney general is looking into it as false advertising.. so we will see...
