Well, having read that, and thinking about how statistically rare to have that many flaws as a trainer, I have to actually ask and verify, You are sure you're in a Roehl truck, right? could be Averitt... could be Foodliner, have you checked to make sure you're not hauling a tanker behind you? that would be a big clue. Unless he's only got 3 numbers on his truck, in which case, he can do what he likes.

Pretty sure this is a Roehl rig, I spent a ton of time researching this company and they pride themselves in their trainers. Too me, this is s joke this guy is allowed to train.

That sucks bro. i agree with everyone else call your FM or safety. its not fair to you to not learn and get experience. when you get your own truck go to a mechanic at a terminal and ask them to walk you through al the different functions and things on your new truck from engine to sleeper to apu to fifth wheel. ive done it with the two differebt trucks ive had so far. they spent like ten minutes with me and really hrlped out alo they are normally happy to help.

And if he is affiliated with Roehl in anyway sorry but he can't do whatever he wants just bc he's a lease op. picks his loads and region he runs but as a trainer there's guidelines.

I made it to Ellenwood, and finally got away from that guy. I didn't really learn anything so I guess I will be winging it the rest of the way. Hopefully, so other Roehl guys will help. (if I pass my test) that guy was so bad I am down on the job now and just wanting to go home. The 29th will be a month out besides the stop off I had earlier this week. Hopefully it gets better and I can grow into this job.

Of course it will get better. You'll be solo, and alot I've learned on my own you will also too. People on here and Roehls support will help you as we'll. don't be down that guy was just a clown. If you don't say anything that would be the worst part. It gets better hopefully you'll make it home for the holiday, if not then when you do relax take a breather to gear up to go out again. A lot of it is hands on experience behind the wheel, if you feel that you need more training in sure they'll set you up again.

That tool you had for a trainer will be just another good story you will tell to the new guys 20 years from now when you have a couple million under your belt. Being away from home is the hardest part of this job for me and even that gets better as time passes. For my wife and I, we have a routine of when we talk and what we talk about and don't talk about. If there is a problem at home and I can't do anything about it from the road, my wife knows not to worry me with it. Things like having understanding support on the homefront can really help a driver.
