4G most likely will. My 3G works almost enough to do everything on my Xbox, few things won't load or takes forever but online play is abit touchy

how long does it take to get your first paycheck with roehl if going thru driving academy? trying to get all the financials worked out so i can have things paid far enough in advance. is load securement flatbed training on a paid basis or extra time to wait? also can you go van to get on raod quick and then get the flatbed training later. thanks

I ran van then switched to flatbed donor is possible.

I wouldn't try rushing things my friend, trucking takes time to learn. If your going through just orientation out of school then once you are officially hired* by Roehl is when they cut the paycheck (I believe it's the following week once you sign the papers.) they split orientation pay into two weeks though.

As for flatbed, yes you get paid for it. However I don't know how long the waiting list is. Mine was pretty darn instant

not really rushing. i just turned 47 on wednesday and will not be going to driving until april due to a commitment to a friend/employer i am currently working for. need more in a paycheck then i am currently making but gave my word i would be here until he came back from florida april 1st. trying to get research done ahead of time but will need a check when i start as soon as possible. have to keep the court happy with child support and a little to live off of until things get going good. am considering pretty much between roehl and millis. do you know how much roehl pays during your training time? i know millis is a salary.

I don't remember what orientation is pay wise.

I believe it's 60$ a day for 14 days. Usually your cut short to about 9 days then testing out but sometimes it runs the full 14.

Training pay isn't the worst at Roehl, heck it's better then a lot of companies that hire new drivers.

As for pay.. What are you looking at for each week to cover your cost of living and child support?

    Avg is between 500-600. Good weeks 700-900. Bad weeks 200 - 400.

This is not a steady paycheck job... As in it fluctuates a lot, because you will get a great week then a bad week or two bad weeks and a avg week. Some times you have to know what you need for bare minimal on pay and let the FM know so he can aim for that as a set goal and everything else is gravy.

My bare min is 1400. That covers my truck payment, insurance everything for that 1 week.

    Sorry to ramble on.

Not to discourage you, because you can make fantastic money doing this but know that this isn't a 100% stable in minimal paycheck weekly. Aslong as you can bite the bullet on a 150$-250$ paycheck every now and then you will be solid.

right now i only make 250 per week and 83 of that has to go to child support. then add in rent utilities food gas and other things. if on the road my stuff i can not live without will be at my aunts house (what i will use as my home address). after i pay child support most of it can go in the bank and only use what i need to buy food for the truck. thanks for the input but do believe i will be better off on the road. also hope that i can take hometime at other locations. i have a daughter in NC and one in Michigan. even if i could get resets by them it would work out pretty good and also would like to see some of the country as i travel it. couple days here and there. either resets or hometime at where i am.

living in the truck should save me about 500 to 600 a month by my figures and i eat almost like i would in a truck right now. a lot of microwave and canned things.

Then you will fit in well.

As for taking home time different places. Roehl doesn't care where you take it. Aslong as there is a safe place to park the truck for your down time and you let them know ahead of time then all will be golden. I know of a couple drivers that have 3 places they switch up on home time. So don't think that will be a issue.

Then again it might of changed, but I doubt it has.

250$ a week? You will deff do a lot better here.

Training pay while your with your trainer is $90 a day. It last 9-13 days unless your high speed like me and then it goes 7. Orientation pay is $300 after 8 days if you make it. And $300 a week after orientation.

i read on the millis site and thru other drivers that their training pay is 500 for 2 or 3 weeks and then goes up 50 per week until max at 650 or 700. something close to that anyway. but you are with trainer 5 to 8 weeks at least. also heard they changed from weeks to miles before going solo.
