Course than the next hurdle will be this truck shortage I keep hearing about, that I really don't undertstand. When I was in Marshfield I know I counted at least 20 trucks sitting there waiting to go, but down In Gary they had one guy they put in a 2006 with 850,000 miles cause thats all they had and two more guys they told they were having trouble locating trucks for.![]()

I'm in claysville, PA with this oversize waiting on permits lol.
As for the truck shortage they do have trucks their waiting to have decals put on. I was in marshfield the other day and the mechanics told me they are short staffed but they won't hire any new mechs. They had about 30 Columbia's waiting to be traded in and replaced by prostars and cascadiasm

Well also...
New trucks coming in might also need warranty work done by International. Which had their own dedicated bay at one point in time. So OTR trucks already in the fleet most likely has priority over trucks not in the fleet yet. Plus decal issues to I guess.
They seem to make enough time to rebuild a engine for a glider kit they are setting upDrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
Before i got this prostar they were going to fly me to marshfield to get a truck. But this one magicly came available in phoenix.

I appreciate the replies. The problem I am having with trip planning is getting the correct shutdown tine and getting the right hours. Finding the nearest truck stop to the cosignee and miles ect. I will get it I really enjoy the guys at this company. Roehl has given me the chance to train at their company I want To the best I can and move on to phase 2. We did get to practice alley dock backing today after some lengthy road trips. I'm looking forward to getting back to the hotel and my steak burrito. I am tired.
:RUMOR:-- new ProStars are enroute to the Gary terminal and will be arriving about the time I will be getting assigned a truck if I succeed. -
I wouldnt count on getting a new one. But you might you never know

I am not counting on it but just having the chance is pretty cool. A quick update- We are finished with day 3 we did some road driving today and worked on the alley dock. I think I did pretty well, but there is improvements to make. My roommate wasn't feeling well today and did attend class, and was gone when I got back. He was from Jersey and was pretty worried about his family during Sandy. Hopefully, all is well for him and his family.
