Without reading everyone else's responses, there's a few things I find wrong with what you've said.
1) They do not pay the absolute shortest miles. They always route me from Gary, IN around Chicago on I-294 and pay for the extra miles. They advertise practical miles and pay for it.
2) The rate you signed at on was pretty clear. It's in the DRG. The 80/20 is also in the DRG.
3) If you want more hometime, choose a better fleet. You can't have a truck running 3/4 of the month--it throws away the profit margin paying for a truck that's not running. Just FYI, I'm home for 5 days now.
4) Nothing really wrong, but the fuel stop program is somewhat irritating. I had it route me out-of-route 60 miles once (one way) and called in and straightened it right out.
I've been ready to throw on the parking brake and give up a few times. I've seen some of the worse aspects of the company. I know they're nowhere near perfect but I don't really think there's much better out there. They treat me right. I don't sit around for hours waiting on a dispatch and my truck's nowhere near new but I love it.

You are doing great cmoore. I am proud of you. The offer still stands if you get near SE PA mon! Same goes for any other RDTC buddies if you are out there. Just let me know when you are coming through.

I'd be glad to stop by... if I ever got further east than Ohio or further west than Illinois.

Wonder why they have it in for cold beverages?
I think they may be afraid that it may lead to driver happiness. If that happens then we may begin to develop unreal expectations. I'm not sure but I believe the rule book says you should unplug your thermo cooler every night as well. Maybe they do have a hard on for cold'uns. -
Where did everyone go? Is this thing on?? Try the veal, it's delicious.

I'm still here Mon! Wonder how my RDTC buddies are doing. I knew 10 days in a truck with another person would get to me. Training is a necessary evil, too evil for me. Roehl seemed like a good company though.

I could not stand being cooped up in the truck with another person 23.5 hours a day.
