Really you would put up with all the B.S. instead of just taking that money and going to a regular Truck driving School.
Sorry frog. What I meant to say was I would have went to the new company I am at and not CRST. I did make some good friends at CRST though and that in itself is worth the money I spent. I still talk to them several times a month.
I still talk with both my former Co drivers and my trainer since I got the local gig home every night and weekends when there stuck here in Indy I go pick them up bring them By the house for a home cooked meal let them do laundry. My former Trainer's Daughter has to go to Riley children's Hospital a couple times a year so his wife and Daughter usually stay here the night before.
keep in mind that, that 22c per mile is split, you really are only getting 11c per mile to start with. dont let them tell you any different, it is what it is. good luck
That's how much you will make when you have no experiance and no money to pay for your own schooling. When you ask a company to finance your schooling, you gotta repay it some way or another....
thats right, but they lead you on like each driver will earn 22c a mile. and yes that is how you pay them back for schooling, also it is the fastes contract out there to pay off which is a great deal.
although i have not read all the responses in this thread seems it is misleading a little. I worked for crst as an owner op the whole idea of only making .21 cents a mile is pretty misleading considering it is a team company so you either have to drive team or you are a lead driver and train but either way you wont be driving alone. you may be making .21 cents a mile but you also make .21 cents a mile on your partners miles as well so in a sense your actually making .42 cents a mile which is extremely good for a new non experienced driver. does the company suck? you bet they do. are they a good company to work for? yes they are. how can that be? well its simple a company is only as good as the dispatcher there are good ones and bad ones so depending on which one you get will make the difference on how you like the company or not.
