eh i beg to differ. i have a life. i only work 8.5-9 hours a night. lots of free time. no wife but it's not hard to date until they find out i have no intention of working days for awhile. i frequently see my family & friends. a couple of my buddies work nights so it's not terrible.

Not complaining, just clarifying to everyone that not all those hours are paid, and that's ####ed up that you sat for 12 hours for $35.

That's how I look at it, I know what I got so there is no way in hell I am moving on, they will have to fire me in order for me to move on, LTL linehaul jobs or even LTL jobs in general just don't fall off trees in my neck of the woods, plenty of pay by load fuel or bulk hauling jobs though.

Yep, I agree and not to mention the rate it is paid at.

My buddy was talking with Vegas guy. In order to get a job he had to go P&D. Then wait for a system spot. When he got on system linehaul it took him 3 years to get a bid. Yeah out west where the sun shines year round it’s definitely harder to get a linehaul spot. I was on system for a week. Heard northwest it’s unheard of to get a day linehaul run under 10 years.

LVS was always one of my favorite terminals to go to when I ran systems, the staff there was always friendly and they always came up with something for me to do, usually got some pretty good runs out of there.

Yup to get in there you have to do city first. Or you work somewhere else and transfer. I might transfer in the future there but don’t know if I can take the heat. I’m a big Raiders fan and I love SoCal area but I could never afford to live there or want to afford to live there. Vegas having my favorite team, somewhat cheaper COLA, and only acouple hours from SD where I can get away pretty easy on 3 day weekends might be an option. But I love Denver too and we have day runs probably more then any terminal in the system. There’s a guy only 5 spots up just got a 9am start time he’s done by 6pm when I’m starting. Pays close to 2k a week and easy during the summer.

Awesome, I am a fan of the silver and black as well, a Raiders fan in Denver haha, how much #### do you get for that from the locals.

As far as Vegas goes i love that town, actually still love Nevada as a whole, had 20 good years living in that state.
