View attachment 31766 Well getting the truck serviced during blitz week may have been a bad idea but got it done anyways only took 5 hours at the TA in Boise..
the process is very simple tell the shop who your with and what you need, they write it up and get approval bam done, they have to put the trailer on a seperate invoice so i don't get charged for it..
i dropped the 2 trailers in idaho and bounced to Battle Mtn and grabbed this load of drilling mud, deliver it tomorrow in williston then bounce to Casper for a rig move to Michigan and should unload that Wednesday or Thursday and hopefully get something out of their,
I plan to stay out this whole month and take some time off for the 4th (should be warm enough by then for the kids to get on the tube)
Hope you all have a good weekend -
well yesterday was non eventful, i arrived at the yard for the rig move and their was alot of trucks but i expected that anyways, got their at 7 am and was loaded and tied down by 730 pm wow long day, one part was 2" over width but i was able to remove that piece just 2 small bolts and im all legal and rolling to MI, unload thursday, and have about a 40 mile bounce to grab a load of structural steel headed for Tacoma, things are going well and im staying busy.
i was getting loaded with this load and they got the dog house on and the bucket and the guy was looking and saying we gotta put something on that upper deck let me see what i can find... so they put this derrik dolley up their, that thing was a pain to tie down so it would stop moving but i got it.. 2 chains 4 binders and 2 straps for a 6000lbs dolleyShardrk Thanks this. -
well got unloaded early this morning which was a shock but good... had a 40 mile bounce to my next pickup which i was very happy with considering that rig moved dropped 20 step decks in the same area.. it did take most of the day for them to load this jigsaw puzzle on my truck thou.. oh well headed to Tacoma so a nice long run with a decent rate. i talked to my LP advisor today and for my halfway point of the month i am 1600 to to the positive with still 2 weeks to go so i am happy with that... hope to stay busy and keep it going..

I dropped the steel load and had about a 30 mile bounce to Kent to pick up a load of Foam panels headed for Bayfield CO, that stuff is like a sword it cut through diapers folded over peices of strap and my tarps but it paid well.. got that delivered on monday and found a load off a load board had to bounce to Denver to get loaded on Tuesday, headed for Rosalia WA and unload it in the morning, then head to oregon to load some pipe for Williston and my wife is going with me for that trip i am super excited. been looking for something out of that area but nothing yet.
I am staying busy and making money last checkin with my advisor i was 4800 truck payment for this month which feels great.... -
Thanks for keeping up with the tread! It is very interesting seeing the different loads. I pull for Maverick and am always looking to learn more!

Same here for me, I am a student but flatbed is what I want to do... I'm 48 so sitting and getting fatter in a dry box puller is not appealing and I want the shot to do varied work. Anyway thanks for the info in a couple years I will be looking for maybe just this thing.

we made it to Williston this afternoon and get unloaded in the morning... not sure what we are doing next may bounce home or grab a load of crane parts going that way.. either way ill be home for the 4th and my sons b-day.. it all depends on how fast we get out of here in the morning.

Just lettin you know I appreciate your reporting. I'm considering changing companies and have been reseaching companies. Sammons is my #1 choice, if they'll have me. I work for small company and have been trying to get the boss to move into our own accounts as we use brokers almost exclusively. We dont seem to be getting the rates that DAC is showing.
I really like the idea of picking my own loads.
I have been driving since 1988 and just want to find a company that I can retire at, that treats me with respect and I can make a decent living.
Anyways that was a really long way of saying thank you and I hope you keep up with this blog. I check it almost everyday
