I'd have to agree with ya there, maybe not the company car. It does the job, if we're allowed to use it lol. The 6th wheel is the stupidest thing ever and i still can't figure out why they put em on the trailers, everytime i get one without it i feel like I've hit 5 bucks on a 1 dollar scratch off. Charlotte OC does indeed suck, but I'd say my hate is strong with Atlanta, atleast Charlotte has food.GoGetta07 and rickybobby Thank this.

Real update:
life for the last couple of months have been livin large in the northeast, honestly i hate it here but with rates being low everywhere including here, i can atleast make what i need to week to week. Occasionally I'll stretch my legs, take a load to Ohio, then to Tennessee, then back to Pennsylvania. I cherish those times lol. So I'll stay up in this region for 1-2 sometimes 3 weeks, and I'll make my way to the house for 1 week off. I'd much rather have 1 week vs. a couple days here and there, i feel refreshed when i hit the road again.
This year has been a giant learning curve for me, one of many things i learned along the way was paying taxes (which i DID NOT pay quarterly) probably irresponsible on my part. I know better for next year, but i have a great accountant and just finished squaring everything away with all that nonsense. So im all good with uncle sam!
Truck has been great, just finished putting new steers on with the centramatics, I've heard good things about them from other drivers and figured it will pay for itself. Other than PM's I've had 0 down time due to truck problems. I feel lucky after hearing some true horror stories about the problems these new trucks have with DEF, DPF and all that BS. my odometer is right at 130K, probably a bit much for 13 months but I've been runnin hard.
All in all i still have been having fun, sure there is BS here at the pumkin patch but I've never heard of a perfect company. Its been working for me and what im working towards. i have big goals for myself and I feel like this is a good stepping stone. I've been learning so much along the way. I have bad times that have had me ready to quit and say screw it, and good times that get me through the rough patches. Overall im happy and motivated, and thats all that matters. Im sittin in VA going to pick up a load tomorrow going to PA(bad news) but i have 161XXX trailer for the live load so im rollin in style
Stay safe out here everyone!lovesthedrive, freightwipper, Orange713 and 6 others Thank this. -
I had a easy week, my choice but I'll probably regret it since i got a load going to Florida for some time off. Its all good though, I couldn't turn down a good load going to FL lol. My birthday is the 20th, so me and the lady are gonna go on a mini vacation. Should be fun!
