Sounds like a net of 50-CPM (+/-) after all expenses. That's DECENT, but not a lot for an O/O. I make 47 CPM and I have ZERO risk as a company guy. If I'm gonna put my butt on the line financially, I want to be looking at 60-65 CPM NET, after all expenses. Otherwise it just isn't worth the risk.

I have a hard time seeing how you're going to do well on a lease-purchase. If you live in the truck and watch your pennies, you can easily (Ok, not easily) put away $20k per year.
Save for 2 years, buy a 25k truck that needs 15k in work. Take a loan for $20k. Keep 20 in the bank for operating expenses and you have a TINY amount of debt to service, so it's almost all profit.
I've been looking at this in a serious way for a year or more, and that's the way I think I'm going to do it. (Though I have more cash, so I will get a condo for comfort). -
Hey man thanks for reading!! I haven't posted as much I've been busy busy i took off 12 days and I've been back at it for the last week getting back into the swing of things, as for Schneider choice I've been happy overall.. No company is perfect, but being able to chose my schedule and run how and where is unbeatable for me. Last year around this time i was making 500.00 more on average each week, also working less.. Im not sure what is causing it, it could be a number of things but im easily able to survive and still make more on average then when i drove company. It works for my living situation, I don't have many bills, i stay at the wifeys place or my moms when i get home. Here in the next few months we are planning on buying our first home so we'll see how it goes.
As for UZ trans, they are a good company. No major complaints. Im not sure how they are today though...i know they have cameras in all trucks and my old dispatcher who ran me like crazy is no longer there.. Most weeks i had no problems bringing 1200-1600 a week. Everyone there is really nice and bobby, the owner is cool.. They weren't perfect but it worked for me. i would stay out 3-4 weeks and i would get 4-5 days. Any other questions feel free to askCapitalcityNYtrucker Thanks this. -
Thanks T keep me posted on how things continue to move forward with SNI choice program. As for me I am undecided completely at this point. Not sure the Lease Purchase thing is worth the squeeze I wad offered. UZ trans is an option, UZBEK offered me a job as well. I am confused about which choice is the right one. Will keep you updated. Roll on driver keep the commentary going!

Yeah there are multiple options out there. I might even grab something local. Have you heard anything about Caregan Transport? They are the ones offering me a cheap Lease Purchase on a 2012 Freightliner for 200 a week. I am confused and I wish one of these companies stood out but they all seem the same. I want to get working as I am bored. I got money saved but this sitting around at home is simply getting lame! Any suggestions let me know thanks

Thanks T Trucker. I live in Upstate NY Albany area the capital. I have been doing Northeast regional for the last 6 months and it has worn me out. I am ok with hitting the open road once again. I think a majority of those company jobs you listed don't hire out of Albany but I will check them out.

Hey T trucker I was looking at Coastal Carriers website and it looks like they have a load board as well for their lease purchase and owner operators. I am gonna start off as company as you suggest. What's funny is we have similar situations. I have like very little bills so racking up cash is really easy for me. Sorry about what happened near the GW bridge to you. I have been driving in this cluster of the Northeast since I started. It is by far the hardest truck driving in the country. NYC is just another country all in itself
