I would tell your son to put his foot down and be all over there behind like white on rice… I would not sit around and wait for them to sit there and figure out what they’re gonna do. I would put the heat on them

Tanker is one of the easiest to endorsements to get. Thin product has more surge than thick. Baffles are partial "walls" in a trailer that reduce surge.Last edited: Dec 30, 2025 at 7:15 PM

South of I-4……there’s a lot of real estate south of I-4, an exact location would help a bit I’m sure.

Having extra product that is left on the trailer can be a real headache for everyone involved.
A few boxes can be thrown out, but if is a few pallets... And it is up to the shipper to decide what to do with the extra product, and the company has to wait on them for the answer.
I have waited many hours just for several boxes before I was told what to do with them. And of course by that time my next load was hosed.
It doesn't happen often, but it does happen. It is just a part of trucking.
He may not be happy with any company if he thinks this kind of stuff is only happening to him or only with this company. -
Well if he has the two years you referenced then maybe it's time to move on to a company that'll be a better fit for him... Like Brakebush, DOT Foods or if he has his endorsements then go LTL.. These megas won't change for one driver..or even 500 drivers...they have their business model and it includes high turnover.. All The Best!

I have 5 boys, the 2 eldest drive, one is a Teamster food service, the other was food service also, claims the took away some incentives, but he use it as an excuse cuz he didn’t like that particular job(to physical) he was more like a regional type of driver, so he went to drive for an outfit that have 389’s long hoods show truck. That company pays 1099, I told him are you freaking crazy ? You went from a good company with all benefits to a 1099 company cuz you want to drive a long hood ? That’s all that I said to him, and we haven’t spoken since then. He’s a grown man, I basically told him to GFY, Don’t come crying to me when you get screwed. I had been pushing to get his Hazmat. But for now….. he’s on his own.
