Yeh i guess you're are right Kitty. Its's saturday morning and i got to do some straight line backing yesterday. It was fun at first, but got a little boing after an hour. I did very good acording to the instuctor. COOL!!!! Now today it's going to be paralel parking. Hope this will go just as easy.I not sure if it is me or the truck , but the clutch seems to pop once in a while. To me it feels like something is flexing. The instructor say's it's me. What do you experienced fella's think????

THANKS for the advice Kitty. As far as practice time,, you get all you need.they teach you a different menuvers each time you are on the range. You have 4 hours practice time for each one. if you need more they will work with you. I fortunatly needed very little time to accomplish each one.I have 2 more sessions left and then it's five on the road practice sessoins. Afer that it's the big test wich i should not have a problem. Hopefully!!!!!!

:yes2557:Just take your time & you'll do fine. My test took 11/2 hours==brake test, skills test & road test. A lot of left & right turns, driving streets with a lot of shifting.

    The Challenger Thanks this.

Today was my first road drive. 3 hours went by to quick. I thought i did pretty good. no tree's.sign's or little children were hurt in the prosess. And not one curb saw my trailer tire's. I did ok upshifting , but downshifting into 8th was a slight problem . My instructor siad that i improved by the end. Tomorow I go again. Oh boy i can't wait!!!!!!
I also went to the dmv and took all the endosment test's and passed them all. Then they informed me that i would have to also pay to put my current motorcycle endorsement on my cdl. 7 dollars each 4endorsment's = $ 28 + $75 for the license+$91 for hazmat =$194 - $67 from the school = $124 total cost to me. Untill next time y'all drive safe.

Second day of drivng and all went good. 3 hours on the road including the interstate.I started at 4 am. Yes it was early but i had little interference from others. Still a little rough on down shifting but it's nothing time in the truck wont cure.It also could be that these trucks are abused to the point that they no longer operate at there best. see ya!!!!

HAPPY EASTER EVERYBODY!!Yesterday was my 4th driving session. It was long and uneventful.Lots of back roads and highway driving, wich is alright, but my shifting needs a little help.I was hopeing for more in town driving to practice more. It seem's as going into 9th gear is killing me. NO matter what i do it still grinds a little. Also down shifting into 5th before a right turn is problematic.I have 1 more driving session tommorow 7am, and test tuesday.I am very mechanicly inclined and thought i could get this shifting under control.I am sure it's my inexperience that is the problem.I am driving an 2001 frieghtliner with 500,000 miles.Anybody know of any shifting issues with this truck??? or is it me.

Well !! I DID IT!!!! Passed my cdl test today. YIPPEEEEEEEE!!!!!! I dont know how but it's done. The road test went ok . Could have done better. The sad part is the range. blind side paralell parking has been one of the easy thing's for me, but i almost blew it during the test. So now i go to dmv tommorow and get the license. I already took and passed all the endorsment tests. I just have to cough up 98$for the hazmat backround check. Now where do i go from here???? I'm thinking about us express but i don't like the auto shift thing. Then there's crete or possibly trans am. I don't know. any sugestoin's??? Oh yeh, I live in south florida. Ain't that just wonderfull!!!!
