Good for you! The best driver is an informed one, who goes into a situation with their eye's and mind open.

If anyone needs to do the online training/tests, be sure you are using Internet Explorer. I learned that the hard way, LOL. I mostly use firefox. I spent days watching those online videos and answering the questions at the end, and it still did not show I had completed the tests. I kept thinking I was doing something wrong, but finally I called my recruiter, and she referred me to the technical support dept. I was told that the program was not compatible with firefox. Once I switched over to IE, it was not a problem.

I will be going to Millington too. I think it will probably be in January. I just have to get my permit and call back to get a start date. Just about ready to go get my physical and go take my permit test. Been studying the book every night. Are you gonna have to take the entire 23 day course?
-
Hi bSanders
Yeah, I have to take the entire course. That's what happens when you wait too long after getting a cdl. Hopefully, I will have my start date Monday. Looks like we might be there about the same time. -
My recruiter didn't mention anything about online training. Is this something everyone has to do? And where can I find them?
Yes It looks like we may be there at the same time as long as I don't have any problem with the permit test. Don't think I will though. pretty much got everything down. My biggest concern is when I go for the skills test and have to try to remember all the stuff for pre trip.
But I guess that is what the schooling is for.

As far as I know, everyone has to do that online thing and it must be completed at least a week before you start school. You might want to call up your recruiter and ask about it. The recruiter has to set you up with a user name and password. Everyone gets nervous about the pretrip, LOL. It is a lot of repetitive memorization, but gets easier as you do it. It helps when you can actually see the parts you are naming, too. Good luck on your permit!

Just received a phone call from my recruiter. She is trying to get me in at Millington next Monday. That would be so cool!!! If not Monday, I will be there the 4th. I will know for sure this afternoon. Either way, I am almost there!!!
