My Swift Adventure

Thanks BigT1033 and Oldnewbie. It looks like my Swift adventure is over. I finally heard from driver services. She said I was not eligible for rehire at this time but I could reapply in 6 months. That is after she originally told me I could be reinstated within 30 days. WTF, 6 months? By then I will need a refresher course or school again. Time to go job hunting.

 

Probably check with Wil-trans first, a smaller company near where I live. Prime is also here but they have a waiting list for females. Might have to check with CRST although not a first choice for sure.

 

Yeah CRST is team only and the pay sucks. Last time I took a look at Schneider, they were not taking student drivers, and Crete was not hiring in my area. I may look into Conway. I think they are in Joplin and don't sound too bad. I have not looked at Gordon yet, but I will. Thanks a bunch.

 

Thanks Dodgeram. Actually Swift was pretty patient with me. I just wish they could have given me just a little more time after everything that had happened. I still think they are a good training company.

So far in my new job search, I have found Con-way is only taking students who are going to be teaming with a spouse, and graduated from school within 60 days. Trailiner said they would just have too hard of a time placing me with a trainer because I am a woman. Haven't heard back from Wil trans yet but have a feeling the trainer deal is going to be an issue with them too.

I went ahead and put in an app with crst. I am pretty sure they will hire me since they were going to before I got on with Swift. Meanwhile I will look into Gordon and a couple others. Will keep ya posted.
