Good luck with school, Ccolvin! CJ is an interesting field of study.

Alex94, I have been home. I got my doctor release form faxed back in last week, but they could not get me scheduled for the academy until the 11th. I will be heading back to Millington early Sunday morning via Greyhound.

My application process is a long story in itself, LOL. I applied last September through drivers solutions. At that time, I had just gotten my cdl, so I did not have to go to their academy. I was scheduled for orientation soon after applying, but I ended up having to postpone everything. In Nov 09, I completed a new application and got put on a waiting list, but I had actually been talking to my recruiter since October 09. Things sure changed in the past year. -
For anyone who plans on attending the Millington academy during this cold weather, be aware that other than the first couple of days you will be outside. I understand that the only time you will go indoors is if there is lightening or a tornado. I will be returning next week with insulated over-alls, cap, and gloves.
Last summer, when I got my cdl, I was outside during the hottest part of the year. I welcomed the rain in 100+ temps as that was the only time I got cooled off. Now, I will be out there in the coldest part of the year. Seems like I always learn everything the hard way, LOL.JustSonny Thanks this. -
the good thing is you will have a trainer with you during the winter months

oh. gotcha road dust!
while you are out, esoecially with your trainer, keep us updated as to how things are going and how you like it there. thanks! keep it safe and good luck!
road dust Thanks this. -
BIG MISTAKE! I was delayed getting with my trainer nearly two weeks because the nurse didn't recognize the matter as something old. If she would've asked one or two questions, the whole matter could've been cleared.
My issue was minor, but if you have something major you still take medications for, please be proactive because you can guarantee that Swift's support staff with be reactive. Don't wait until Orientation! Call Compliance, and that employee should be able to send you the form(s) you may need.
If I knew then what I know now...
