Well I have good news and bad news. I had to leave orientation due to problems with the physical. I will not go into depth and ask those who know not to say so. In the end, I was offered two options:
Finish orientation and go home and take care of the problems
Go home and finish problems and reschedule orientation
I chose the latter and intend on returning to Swift. The gals were very nice about it and told me to reschedule when the problems were taken care of. Swift treated me well for the time I was there and I had an excellent experience. I do not regret going up to Ocala as I found an employer who I want to call home. When I found out I needed to take care of things, I was offered a bus ticket home but declined since I drove up myself. I was told by the orientation person that I am welcomed back. Compared to most, Swift is really laid back and treats it employees well. During the Time I was up there, I did not hear any negativity about Swift and its companies.
KHLady K Thanks this. -
Aw man, I'm sorry it didn't work out this time. Get yourself taken care of and then go give 'em hell!
-
Just a little speed bump that needs to be flattened out, eh?
I have every confidence in you. -
Well, sorry to hear about that, but you'll be back! Make it your mission! Get that physical squared away ASAP, get back up there, and GIT R DONE!!
Is this something you can get taken care of pretty directly? If so, set a goal. Call them and set up another orientation date for the earliest time you think you can get whatever it is squared away. This will set a goal in your MIND as well as on your schedule and you will be OBLIGATED to reach that goal in your mind. Nothing wrong with a little pressure to drive performance, eh?

After thinking it over, I am putting it off for a month. I talked to a person from safety about my concerns and she said a note from my doctor will resolve it. If you are on medications and are thinking about Swift, talk to your recruiter and get the 411 on which ones are not approved. Swift is still my choice and I feel like I have found a future home with them once this gets resolved.

I'm sorry you've hit this snag KH but I believe you'll get this resolved quickly. *hugs*

I thought you had the doctor's note already?

Next month, OK..........
keep us updated if you would.
