Got my eval done and faxed over to Swift. Approved for orientation and will need 50-70hrs with a trainer. I convinced my recruiter to get her boss Tom to approve my three months experience. Will get know on Monday when I go. For newbies make sure everything is in order. No loop holes please otherwise you will get sent home.

Congrats Tazaa. Enojy your time and remember to not over do it. I burnt myself out and had less confidence as a result. If you need someone to talk to, please pm me for my number and I will be more than happy to talk to you.

Hey KH glad to hear that you got everything taken care of and you are back on your way to orientation.

I am in a somewhat similar situation as you have described, I have 18 mos of experience, with only 9 of those months over the road; however that experience is over 2 years old.

I have not yet breached the subject with my recruiter about starting pay based on that experience but after reading your thread its at the very top of my list.

Recruiter says that I may not even have to spend any time with a trainer as long as I can pass the drive test.

    # Tazaa: Wow I can't believe it took you over a month to get your application processed. I made two phone calls and faxed one signed doc and the recruiter was like "so when do you want to start orientation?" Just lucky I guess. Glad to hear you got it all handled.

I think one moth is bs unless you had a lot of stuff that needed to be verified. I had to contact three different recruiters and the third one was charm. Kimberly J. is very good though I have had to call her a couple of times.
