Wow, no idea what happened, and I wish you luck in the future. That's all I can really say since I haven't been involved with much chatting with you but have been following this thread closely.

A driver mill like Swift, Prime, JB Hunt, or such aren't going to spend too much time on one-on-one instruction because there's no shortage of applicants. At least you don't owe the money for school, and I can understand why they're harsh to wash people out before they start trusting them with trucks, equipment, and clients.

 

And you are correct.... and the reason why is because they were threatening to cancel my lease at Christmas time because of a few negative comments that were in those threads.

Those threads were also filled with a lot of positive comments.... And I asked to have them not viewable because I believe that if you can't handle a little bit of negative, then you don't deserve the positive.

 

KH, I'm sorry that your feeling are hurt. I can understand how and why they are. But please realize that nobody here is or was trying to be "mean" to you.

Not that it matters at all, but I completely agree with MT about not locking or deleting this thread. There is much valuable info here, and frankly, without your posts, it wouldn't be worth a darn.

Also, please try to understand about "nobody calling" you. Everyone has their own lives, and they are busy. While this forum is a part of our life, it is by no means a huge part. We all have other interests and commitments. Even us "retired old farts" have plenty of other stuff going on.

It is nothing against you, it is just the way that life is.

 

KH, everybody who has posted in this thread has wished you well and hoped for the best for you.

Remember the support/advice given when the "bullies" were giving you a rough time. That words used by them were hurtful, as I surmise they were meant to be. However, it seems other things have transpired since then; I neither know nor require knowledge of what happened, but you are now asking that this thread be closed because of perceived hurtful words from folks here. I would hope you would recognize the words being said here are coming from those you have sought advice from, and they are not meant to be hurtful, rather helpful.

I've really read nothing that appeared to be harsh, although to some it may seem that way. There are times when friends are the only ones who will tell us exactly what we need to hear in order to open our eyes and our minds. There is nothing in life that is easy, and disability or not, we all have to learn things the hard way. If we're lucky, we have friends and family that will be there to help prepare us for the rough times.

In my opinion, this is just one of the small obstacles that lie ahead in life. You'll find as you get older the obstacles get much larger.
