Well after telling them something is wrong with my steering wheel and alignment and them doing nothing about it and then having the steering wheel fall into your lap because it wont lock. Ummm yea.. Not worth staying risking my life or CDL. Thankful for the chance they gave me to get my experience, but I am outie 5000.
How long did you spend over the road with a mentor? Yeah that is dangerous. Surprised they didn't get that fixed.
To be fair you drove with it for 3 months. One option would have been to take the extended hometime wherein they require you to turn in your truck and you get another truck when you come back (if they truly refused to fix it).
Ok, that's what I thought, it's funny that the run time the recuiter gives is 11 or so out and 3-4 off with taking the truck home, bumping up against that slip seat window, lol.
I did take it to the yard, multiple times, all documented with copies of my work orders in hand. I even have a video of the issue and sent to Safety about the alignment / Also took a video of the steering column last night after turning in the truck. I guess you guys aren't understanding what I said orr think I am making this up for fun. For the past 3 months the DM and terminal manager were informed of the issue with the truck and nothing was done. This is why I left. Complaints fell upon deaf ears. Had I known the steering column was going to break while driving I would have gotten another truck. The ABQ terminal hardly ever has any trucks to be given, so turning it in would mean days without work until they had one come up. Anyway... I don't work for the company any longer so I will stay out of this thread. Take my info as you wish. Enjoy Swift and your in-cab cameras by the way.
