RERM Thanks this. -

Not sure who the other all-auto fleets are... I thought I remember Rohel being all autos, but I could be wrong.wolf98 Thanks this. -
well I guess maverick is no longer on my list to apply too. I need the stick shift or no driving at all. thanks again CaptainX3

Yeah the Manual Transmission thing is FAR more important than the QUALITY OF THE COMPANY that one works for....
hesgoneagain and rda2580 Thank this. -
Personally, I rather have the auto, once they get into heavy traffic and a backup on the highway they will wish they had an auto! lol
-
Yeah I guess I hadn't thought about that LOL. Thanks I was tired last night. Maverick is back on my list. I will probably choose them over everyone else.
-
Yeah and traffic jams hardly EVER happen....

Stick shifts are overrated. There is nothing that a stick shift truck can do that mine can't do when switched into manual mode. I never have to worry about stalling out in an intersection or forgetting which great I'm in. And traffic jams are a breeze.
The only thing that a stick shift MIGHT do better (and even this is debateable) is give better fuel mileage. And I don't pay for the fuel, so I don't care really. Obviously Maverick feels that the small loss in fuel mileage is worth the other benefits of an automatic.
Just my two cents really, but I will say this much. I've been driving here for 15 months and I make more per mile than my cousin, who works for a major carrier and has been driving for 17 years.
