Yeah, you definitely have! I'm delivering in Russellville on Friday, then they should be working me towards home over the weekend. If I can manage to pass through Little Rock and have the time, I'll stop by the terminal and say hi. I usually go chat with the students down at the hotel when I'm there. I'm always wearing my name badge, feel free to look for me and say hi!
I know its been awhile since i updated. I am just finishing up orientation, tomorrow should be the day they do the job offer provided the results from our drug/hair follicle tests are back. Then its off to tcd training and being assigned to a driving instructor. Overall i couldn't ask for a more professional environment. I will say as long as you take notes, pay attention, ask questions, and participate. Then you shouldn't have a problem. I don't feel the rules they set are that demanding considering the huge responsibility we all have by being behind the wheel of a tractor trailer. The orientation class started at 27. We are now at 21, no one to my knowledge was sent home by maverick, they all went home by their own choice. Im just glad I've made it this far and hope to have a long road ahead with maverick.
Maverick offered me the job today and i accepted it. So its official i'm now a Maverick employee!! My driver instructor also contacted me today. His name is Jerry, but goes by Santa Clause. We chatted for a bit very nice guy. I wasn't expecting to hear from him so soon so didn't have any questions. I am making a list though.
Thanks Captain! I'm glad to be apart of a great company! Maverick was the only company I applied to because they were really the only company I wanted to work for. I have been reading this board and talking to Maverick drivers on here as well as the truck stop. It is your attitude about Maverick that helped me put the company in that number one slot for consideration. I would like to thank all of you for that. This might be weird to some, but i actually feel like I'm home.
