So because someone posts something negative about a company it means they treat everyone bad? If Schneider was one of the "typical" mega carriers as some have suggested, there would be a LOT more negative threads about Schneider. I have read far more positive threads about Schneider than any other large carrier on here.

I feel for Opus but it doesn't seem to be the "norm" for most of their drivers. At least not from everything I've read anyway.

Been pretty busy, and have neglected to post up here lately.Been too tired:biggrin_25521:
I noticed looking through some of my journals I had several hard breaking events, and those did gradually go down over the course of time.If you spend enough time in atlanta traffic, your gonna get sawed off on a daily basis.
I also found an entry where I was picking up one afternoon in Dalton Ga.
Theres alot of flooring shipped out of this area of Ga.I had a appointment for 1300,and arrived a little early to Mohawk Carpet warehouse.I later found they were notorious for letting you slowly die in the parking lot,and oppointment times mean nothing.
I was having a really bad day,and my 14 was going away. The shipper told me one story after another, and I eventually watched him drive across the parking lot going home later that evening.I had called in several times, and my dbl was trying to help me,but nothing was getting done to get me loaded.I had no idea waiting for days could sometimes be normal in trucking.
I really had no patience and was just ready to quit.I thought about quitting alot.More than I should have, and somedays felt like I was going coo-coo bannanas.
I noticed around 6 pm the sky sure looked bad,but really not much more thought about it than that. The 2nd shift crew finally got all my carpet loaded, but I had no drive time left.I hadnt eaten anything as far as a good meal all day,and wasnt gonna sleep in mohawks parking lot hungry.
I got on 75 s and figured I would just get down to the pilot, and put in for the night.
When I got in the parking lot,I noticed I had no bars on my cell phone, and hadnt checked in with the wife.Im not the kind of guy to run illegal, but really didnt give a ship that particular day,and decided to go one more down to the Loves, where I got reception.
I do wanna say for those reading this..I did have days where I just had a bad attitude from being tired and felt like I had been pee'd on enough, and ran over on my time.I knew guys that would completely log out,and keep driving,in order to keep from getting screwed on the next days loads, but thats another story.
I got backed in on the very top of the hill, next to a flatbedder. He was walking around the parking lot with a beer in hand, and I remember thinking how much I would enjoy drinking down a sack full of those. He helped another flatbedder get situated next to us,and we were pretty much packed in solid.
I got some food, and checked in with the wife.I did notice the skies had continued to deteriorate, and it looked like we were gonna get some bad storms. My son called me on the phone, and wanted to know where I was sleeping that night. He freaked out on me,when I told him I was in Dalton.
Seems the local stations had been reporting on the tornados hitting all around me.I figured the worse was over, and just wanted to get some sleep,so I said my good nights to my wife and son and hit the bunk.
It couldnt have been an hr,or so and the weather got real nasty.Hail was hitting the truck, and we were shaking pretty bad from high winds.
I jumped up,and looked out to see some bad lightning, and power went out.I then thought what a bad idea it was to be at the back of the parking lot on the very top of the hill.I felt like I was really exposed, and the weather was approaching from my rear.I kept looking to see if either of my skateboard neighbors were as scared as I was ,and they never even got up:biggrin_25514:(balls)
There was another guy that I could see holding his chuahua, and a laptop.
He would look in the mirror, kiss his dog, then hit the refresh button, and repeat .I guess he had a pretty good idea what we were getting, and that didnt make me feel any better.
I tried to lay down several more times, but the weather kept me up most of the night.Hail, then winds, the power goes out, then the sirens would go off for another tornado. What a miserable night! To top it off, dispatch called me several times during the night to change my load, due to tornado damage, and stocking home depot stores.
It shouldnt be legal for any of these a-holes to call you when your trying to sleep, but thats just another one of my opinions.
So,I make it through the night, and feel like a fresh can of as@ when I get up the next am at 4.The ladies inside are telling all kinds of horror stories about the storm damage, and I feel lucky to be alive.I would have hated for loved ones to know I died in a truck stop, while sleeping in a smelly truck, and some a-hole had kept me from sleeping by calling me all night.
I had been routed to take my load to Mcdonough, and help with the storm surge for the hd stores.
I arrived to a long line of trucks waiting to get in the gate.I eventually made my way to security, and gave my load p/u number. They had no info on any of my load,or what I was dropping.I was allowed to pull through, and call my dbl.It seems there was a mixup, and I was told to just scratch the whole deal, and come on back to braselton.
Sure thing, its only MY TIME,and MY lack of pay.
This was just one of many,"My Bad,thats a bad load come on back"
kinda days.I had 2 in a row from Owens Corning that were 3 months old.

Will try and make my way into posting some qualcom pics, and let you guys see some really cool messages I saved, and some parking tickets home depot security issued to drivers.
    Ya'll be safe

Found these posted one morning on the window where you get your paper work. There has NEVER been any formal meeting/training on proper parking places for this account. We were NEVER informed that parking tickets could/would be issued,or that they would be pasted for everyone to view daily.
Just make it up as you go along kinda deal.
