TMC IS A JOKE PERIOD!!! Any company that runs their trucks down to 60 mph is a joke. They are not concerned in anyway with drivers making money. TMC is simply looking for electronic robot steering wheel holders. This company is the master of all trucking companies at micromanagement. Their Moto should be: our dispatchers can drive a truck from desk and computer better than a REAL truck driver this is why we put training wheels on our trucks and hire only steering wheel holders. I have also heard you must bring your truck in once a week so they can inspect the items in your truck to see if they meet their approval. What are they paying now .35 cpm or 21% that's chump change. I won't work for any company that runs their trucks down that low 60 mph implies distrust in a drivers ability to make and respond to changing conditions while on the road

    63mph yes still slow
26% to start out as high as 34% for the top performing. Stop talking to people who obviously don't know what they're talking about, or stop speculating on something you know nothing about

Sorry to inform u but ur numbers are very much inaccurate & u sound like a rookie steering wheel holder who thinks he should drive a shiney big hood Pete that runs 100+ mph. They got their trucks set like they do because the company doesn't want morons (like U) driving @ high rates of speed just to act like an outlaw & not knowing what they're doing. Calm down & go get some experience under ur belt: might I suggest starting out with western express or swift maybe

National transportation safety board says that you are close.
    Distracted driving is number one
    Speeding is number two
    And drunk driving is three

That's across all forms of surface transportation.

Regardless, tmc says their trucks are govorned that low because it supposedly saves so much money on fuel. I think it's more along the lines of their legal team thinks it's better that way to avoid lawsuits after an accident from a speeding driver

And the the #1 cause of truck wrecks is four wheelers.

Ntsb said approx 77% of truck wrecks were caused by cars involved.

Yes, and that's not being disputed. The poster before me started that speed was the biggest cause of accidents. I was just correcting his inaccurate information. Nothing in my post started anything that cars weren't a higher at fault than trucks
