Been rolling with my trainer since Sunday he picked me up from Des Moines. Been knocking out 550 miles a day, guys awesome we listen to howard stern most the day. Dropped off a steel coil in Nebraska picked up at a lowes distribution center and just parked at a lowes store in Wisconsin for the night. So far no complaints on tmc. We don't do much backing but maybe that's flatbed in general but we don't park at truck stops rest stops unless we're fueling

Well day one with my trainer is down. He is cool, but unique. Let's me listen to whatever music I want when I'm driving. Parks at truck stops but refuses to idle unless it's unbearable. I'm cool with that I guess, so long as I can blast the ac when driving.e ended our day at the flying j in Beloit Wisconsin. Gonna chill here and get up early to do the last leg of this load. Bout 330 miles, then we load in the same place to head down to a menards in Kansas.

Just buy a nice 12 volt fan to have blowing on you at night, it works great! I hated to idle in hot or cold! It would be 20* and I would be that guy who never would idle!

Minneapolis Owens Corning is my favorite. Wake up at 0345, unloaded by 0415, reloaded by 0430, strap and on the way. Easy money. Sounds like you boys are doing well though. And snow, you'll see that being a good backer pays...when you have to back into 104" holes. It's a real joy.

My trainer its kinda anal about shoes in his truck. He doesn't want them worn in the back at all

Yeah, if you think about it, that's where we live. It's like walking in your front door of the house. I think most trainers are that way.

I never wore shoes in my sleeper. I also had a pair of nice slippers I wore while driving, I have only worn them while driving a truck. I also would vacuum my truck almost everyday with my little battery vacuum I kept with me. I was analysis about that!

I understand why, and don't fault him for that stance at all. It keeps the truck looking good and in good standing with inspections. He's not in any hurry to get a 579 at all.

Well today I managed 544 miles, yesterday was 486, currently chillin in the bottom bunk, we've got a load of singles from Minneapolis and heading to the menards in Manhattan Kansas. We're currently in Des Moines, and heading south. I've decided my trainer is cool as Hell setting as he bought a bunch of good for me and has even offered to buy my fingers at times. Trying to stay away from eating his food but seeing how it enables us to keep moving, I'm obliged.

So far no tarping done as he had a smoke tarp on his first load, and this current and the last were no tarp needed.

Shingles are nice aren't they? And the Owens corning In MN is great! During driver appreciation week, they have burgers and hot dogs coffee and donuts for drivers that come in and load or off load there. Really nice place!
