Just spoke with my recruiter from TMC today, seems they have an alternative if I so choose. Rather than spend it on a 15-16hour bus ride from Lima Ohio to Des Moines Iowa, they have a driver that is just finishing up with his trainer and lives in Columbus, he is getting a rental to drive back to Des Moines to get his truck and they are offering to give me the option to ride out with him, or take the bus. Hell yeah ill take car ride over the bus any day. 11hours one way vs 15-16. Ill take it.
That's a good deal and can get lots of info from him along the way! Good luck and Richter is also a good source of info here!. Always answered my questions.
Yea, if they got a car going int he right direction, they will sometimes let a newbie jump in. Most will be taking the bus though. I flew...the bus ticket was like 30 bucks less then the plane. They paid all but 30 bucks of it.
Great idea and thanks! I am also new to the industry and I am graduating school in a couple of weeks. I have seen TMC a few times recruiting at my school but have been searching for some first hand info. Will be looking forward to hearing what you have to say..Thanks!

Good luck Gunner! It'll be an intense amount of information but they present it in a flow that allows you to "get it". Also, cool about the car ride. Keep me posted and if you have any Q's you have my number.
I'm riding with a driver just coming from his trainers truck, names Jesse, says he's former army, I'll try not to hold that against him.I got your number on my phone and will definitely call if I got questions.
Good luck man. Don't let George get under your skin. He's a super nice guy. All it is is a giant test. I think you'll love it.
