Well we got in at our first drop late-night at around midnight. Sleep out front of the place, owner thought it was cool. We were unloaded by 8am and off to the next drop 9 miles away. It took over an hour to get there. They decided to take their time unloading, but made up for it when they bought us breakfast at a deli around the corner. Our next pick up is a coil from Lancaster pa again going back to minster ohio at precision strip. Should get in at the house around 10 tonight. Truck grossed a total of 4800. Not bad at all considering this was only a 4 day week.

Sounds like your settling in pretty good. Just remember to roll with the good and the bad. Some days are worse than others like everything else in life. I have many memories from my short stay at TMC and most of them are good ones.Gunner75 Thanks this. -

At least you're getting your coil work in! Haha

I think TMC is a decent company, some have done awesome there and others not so much. There not the best but you could do worse thats for sure. I miss the nice Petes and nice trailers. I still hang around here for some odd reason lol. TMC got my feet wet in trator trailer driving and in the short time I was there I learned a lot. I wonder if their turnover is just as high as it was when I left, it seemed just as many were leaving as coming in. -
A lot of drivers don't make it cause of their freight lanes as well. You get entrenched in a bad lane, you may as well just work at Walmart. Midwest I make a lot of money, but I also stay out a lot, run specialized, and go through a lot of BS to do it. Now when I come back, my FM quit and went back to driving, which really sucks cause he and I did really well together, but I know they'll have a good guy for me when I'm back. Just keep your options on loads open. The best days are when you get multiple load offers and can go where YOU want. Sometimes not the best money, but gets you out of the norm. Just my two cents.

Point in case: I took an OD step deck load out to Idaho for just under $3500 once. Picked up Friday, made it Monday morning. Step decks out west suck, but I got a good hazmat load heading to Colorado. And made it back to good freight lanes again. It's all in how you view it. New scenery, new loads, better rates. It's part of the game!

Yea I live out in NC and my trainer said I'm going to be living out of Virginia getting crap loads of paper nonstop where it's heavy as hell all going uphill to Kentucky and New York so my fuel Milage is bad and it pays 500-600. Gotta love nc but it's a start
