Well today starts week 4 with my trainer. We dropped our 2 aluminum coils from Lancaster pa at minster ohio for precision strip. We then bounced down to Worthington steel in Worthington for a load of skidded coils heading to 2 separate drops in st Louis. Then as we're tarping it off, we get a call that a driver with a high end load heading to Virginia beach isn't going to have the hours to get there. So we are heading to St Louis to meet the driver for a load swap. Since we're doing the majority of the drive for our load and we will the the greater part of the drive for the other load, we are coming out to the good.
My TMC experience.

Those repowers can make you some good money when it comes at the right time. You're getting some good work in. It's funny you're in your 4th week already. It's actually helping pass my time over here with the post, so thanks haha.
Gunner75 Thanks this. -

I have been off the road for about 4 years, got a job with at&t working on the wireline side of the company, but I am getting burned out on it. I have been reading all of these posts about TMC and Melton and I believe that TMC would probably be my choice because of the percentage pay. Anyways, my question is seeing as I live in western NC, there is a Columbia Forest Products manufacturer about 3 miles from my house. What do those loads usually pay, seeing as how that would probably be a load out from home time for me.

I do not know asphalt, I've not pulled that load yet. Tmc charges a set rate based on the customer. You're in good position for food freight though. I would recommend calling and asking to Gus or Brad, they can hook you up with answers such as that. Maybe Valerie battleborn or Richter and answer it, they've been around far longer than me

Thanks for all the posts. I see TMC a lot in Ohio.

As you will ohio is a major freight area for tmc, I live there as well bit an hour north of Dayton just of i75

I've only hauled one load from there. It's an interesting place. I don't think the load paid too bad, but is also think it went to Iowa or Minnesota. I'm not pulling a load that far if it isn't going to pay well.
