I've done that run, I think it was one of my first. Must be one to test the new drivers?!

It was my second load. Three coils to minneapolis. Got stuck twice when 94 got shut down in Menominee Wisconsin due to a blizzard and rolled over semis.

My problem was I hadn't hauled coils before that when I got mine. I love certain places for coils now. Nice and easy.

This is why I went with TMC. This guy just delivered a 40k lbs coil top the same place I did, rather than climb up on the trailer and place all his chains and binders in their place, he is placing them on the deck of his trailer, inside a tarp and securing the tarp with bungees. So what exactly makes him think this is safe? This guy needs to get out of the truck, he could barely pull himself into the truck. Had to use to hands on the handle on the side of the cab.

I think tmc is great, so far. But I've only been here for a couple of months. And on my own for a week. So my opinion is not worth much other than what I've gone through so far.

IIRC it was the route across Kentucky. I'm not 100% but I do remember taking a coil from KY to somewhere only a couple hundred miles. I'll have to look back at my book. I still have all my loads from when I was with TMC, including the miles, pay, and all charges and most addresses.

I picked up my load of shingles and had options. Michigan, Iowa, our Jersey. I chose Jersey cause it paid the most. I knew it was gonna be a ##### to get in here, but the owns corning plant in Kearny, SUCKS! I got there 30 minutes late, for traffic but no one cared that I was late. My next load, which I'm currently waiting to get loaded, its a load of aluminum rails for Alcoa Cleveland. I'm lagging out of the port of Newark, and I gotta say, its a ##### place to go, very little parking, other drivers just drive how ever they want, and the smell of stale piss baking in the sun
