Made my update top that thread. I didn't think it was important for the thread given I was looking for answers to a question I've not experienced yet.
That 4 hour debacle with my trailer tire put me seriously behind schedule. I had planned on leaving at 330est and getting to my drop at 730-8est, but it didn't happen. So no bonus points for me for this week.Last edited: Sep 7, 2014

Well this week hasn't been that great, its just been hard. With the tire issue, and then having to incur about 45 miles out of route not by choice, I'm just ready for the weekend to get here.
I got to my drop Sunday night around 11, was unloaded by 9am, and had my next load about 118 miles away to get a load of prefab garden sheds that went to Carmel Indiana. That place is Hell, so many round abouts that are not truck friendly. From there I started my day with a pick up in Montezuma Indiana. Loss of lumber that pays well, due in some place in pa in the morning.
Things are going good. I did have a hard brake today that I was called on. The guy in safety didn't seem to upset, just said that add long as I know what caused it,I know how to avoid it in the future. The cause....not anticipating the light changing.Last edited: Sep 9, 2014

Seems kind of like beginners luck. It gets easier. I just hope it happens sooner rather than later.
Gunner75 Thanks this. -
Delivered my
load of lumber in south west pa, and picking up a load the same place going to north west ohio to a menards dc for tomorrow. While the loader is off eating his lunch I'm making mine.
Sapper92 Thanks this. -
Well I got to the menards dc by 930pm. They got me in asap and unloaded me right away. That puts me in good standing to get a decent load in the am. However considering where I am, I could get a menards load, or I could get bounced over to delta and get a steel load. Neither of which I've hauled, but I don't hear much good of either place. It would be nice if I could get a decent paying load in excess of 250, that will gross me at just over 1000 for this week, and it is sorely needed in my family.

That grill is awesome. May need to get me one. Looks like I'll be heading in to Des Moines in just about 30 days.
The bad thing about menards dc's is they don't let you leave under 78k or so.Gunner75 Thanks this. -

Well my out bound load this morning was what I had thought it would be, steel coils out of delta. Didn't pay as much as id like, but its all money. I'm sitting at my consignee now. Sucks they are closed, can't get unloaded till morning. However my next load is a load of sheet rock from national gypsum in shopping port pa going to Appleton Wisconsin. Since I'm here for a bit tonight, I get done great sleep in.
