My recruiter was Dave. I don't know if he's here anymore, but he was awesome and told me how it really was. That apprenticeship program gives you the same GI bill payout as full time schooling, but it's more the OJT type thing. I had the kicker, so I was making $742 a month I believe? Somewhere around there haha.

Gunner, i believe you can do it at any shop, but you have to see payroll first. I think it's cash/credit only. No payroll deduction. You just have to set it up through your FM.

I'd say that tmc is a great place to go. They've taken #### good care of me, and I've done really well there.

The current pay out is 1300 for the first 6 months. As far as the inverter its cash only, unless it's needed for a cpap machine. I'll check with my fm on Monday morning and see what he tells me. My truck is due for service soon so I'll be making a stop on at a shop

Gunner, was it you or Battle Born that posted the cool pic of the decal/badge they put on your truck for being a veteran?
I've tried to find it, but can't.

Well I made it to my drop Sunday night no problem, they bounced me down to charter steel for a load of welfare rod. It's going to Elyria Ohio. Which reminds me, I'm padded down for the night at the service plaza on i80 just prior to exit 140. I'm less than 3 miles from my drop and I had to really push it to get here. I incurred a hos violation by 2 minutes. #### thing went off just as I pulled into the off ramp for the plaza. That is one draw back to elogs, they keep you on a tight leash. I sent a message to logs telling her what happened, I'm assuming since its nothing major age won't say much. But its hard to say. The problem...I miscalculated the time it would take me to get through traffic on i294. It's my fault. Oh well, I'll take my thumps and not do out again.

I am also an I.T. Tech grossing $1300 every two weeks....and am getting my CDL after the new year. Been doing I.T for 11 years now and cant take it anymore. Need to get away from this desk and have always wanted to drive trucks. TMC is on the top of my list. I live just north of Tampa FL....in your opinion is TMC good for someone that lives in my area? Ido in fact see TMC trucks every morning on my way to work, so they must have a lot of freight here.

They have some dedicated runs down that way, as far as anything solid, I'm not sure to be honest. I would suggest calling the recruiting office and get an idea of they will consider you as they don't hire out off the Florida area very often

Gunner does the qualcom have gps? Or did you end up buying the rand McNally for commercial vehicles?

TMC's Qualcomm does have GPS, its based on the Navigo system with TMC's own custom routing profiles. It does a pretty good job at getting you there, but its no substitute for an Atlas. Ive yet to have it send me down restricted routes, but its still a GPS program. I have not purchased a Rand McNally as of yet, I just cant swing to cost. Too many more important things need paid yet. I do have Co-Pilot Truck on my Galaxy S5 and my Galaxy Tab3. So far it does a #### good job at routing me right close to the Navigo, It does alright at allowing me to choose one of multiple routes with a truck profile, but again its not perfect. I still double check my routes with my atlas to make sure none of my routes are restricted.
