my understanding is the amount of freight that is out there, and is planned for in coming months is there is more than enough to keep TMC busy, as well as everyone else busy for months. General consensus is for every active TMC driver, there are 10 loads preplanned behind its current load. That would play into one of Battle Born's previous post about a possibility of TMC's expansion of the Fleet by 500 trucks in the foreseeable future.

Gunner seems to be correct. Or as close as I can see haha.

Freight may have slowed down last winter, I don't know, but the 2-3 before that I stayed busy.

Well I delivered my load of sheet rock this morning, the load screen showed the consignee had parking, boy that was a load of #########. There was one spot right outside the gate that wasn't meant as a parking spot. My next load was a steel coil from Dearborn Michigan going to Jeffersonville Indiana. The sad part is, I got my load at 7am, my appointment wasn't till 145, so I had to burn all but 5 hours waiting.

Cool thing, my route took me right past my home, and I was left with just over an hour left to drive, so rather than spend it at a truck stop outside Dayton, I decided to take my 10 hr at home with my family.

Another way you can judge how busy the freight movements are going to be is trailer sales. TMC has purchased a lot of new trailers recently, and so have many other companies. TMC's biggest reason is they are replacing their older Benson trailers with brand new Fontaines. But at one point they took a lot of their older Benson's out of service to sell, then they had to reactivate those trailers because the amount of freight was so high, and the new trailers werent getting delivered fast enough. Another reason, total trailer sales across the industry. They are selling like hotcakes, and they are selling trucks like crazy as well.

Yeah, it's definitely a sellers market right now. If you look at prices on used trailers even, you can see that the demand is there. It's awesome. Gunner, I'll be back on the 13th. The time has finally come! Haha

I Had talked to a couple of drivers from TMC and they told me that when you talk to recruiting about how long you stay out and how much money you make and such. That they down play it. So basically you can make more, get home more and so on. I am an experienced driver. Around 20 years. Mostly local linehaul and P & D. I've been wanting to give TMC a go, but Im just really nervous I won't be able to make enough money to support my family if I do. One would think that going on the road and staying out for a week or two you would make more then staying local but I guess that's not the case. I will have to either take a chance or stay local. Just wondering if anyone could convince me makr up my mind. I really don't know what more there is to ask about TMC.
