Gunner,
Thanks for all the info you've posted in this thread. It's been very informative. Could you shed some light on their 401(k) program? Specifically what funds are available and what percentage they match? You'll probably have to look up the funds for me, but I would really appreciate it as this is an important benefit to me. Thanks!
edit: forgot to ask if you could share any details about their ESOP as well -
They have a 401k but I cant recall the match amount, I want to say its something like 50% up to 6%, but dont quote me on that. I remember it not being all that great. Their ESOP program is where its at in retirement. You got 20% vested for each year with them till 5 years, then you are 100% vested. Up to that point you are given cash value in the company. If you stay with them for 5 years then whatever value you are given in those 5 years, you can walk away with cash based on the value of those shares. 4 years youll get 80%, 3 years 60%, 2 years 40%, 1 year, 20%. After 20 years service with them they will give you a large sum. Im not going to say what it is hear, as I feel that is privileged information, however suffice it to say, its a very sizable amount. Dont let anyone fool you, there are some very successful companies that are ESOP companies. TMC isnt even in the top 100 of the largest ESOP companies in the US.
metal83 Thanks this. -
Thanks for the info and quick reply. I've got quite awhile before deciding, but TMC is on my list.

Gunner, I've been reading most of these posts and I've been interested in flatbed since I started driving 1.5yrs ago. I just called a recruiter (Jaime) and she was giving me some info. She mentioned healthcare, dental etc is $106/wk. What kind of healthcare is that? High deductible or copay?
-
Copays are 20/40, I wanna say the deductible is low compared to where I was at my last job of 3000 employee, 6000 family.
-
My insurance is 116 a week cause I have their catastrophic with cancer coverage.
-
And that's a family plan with copays?
-
I pay $80/wk with a $6,000 deductible for a family plan. If I want copays of 30/50 I have to pay $200/wk
-
Yes that's the family plan with vision and dental. The insurance is pretty good. From what I'm used to
