Please forgive me, I haven't had time to read all 54 pages of posts here but I've seen you mention your paychecks. Is that running 1 week out or several? The recruiter told me to expect $1,100-$1,300/wk. Accurate?
Well my week hasn't been the greatest, but overall not bad, I got my first snapshot today, I'm bumped up to 29% with 157 points. I needed 170 for 30%. My oor was 9%, and my mpg was 6.4mpg. I've been wanting to minimize my out of route and could do so, but I've been told by my fm to stay on route according to what the navgo tells me. I'm happy that I got 29%, but I wanted to get 30, I'm currently sitting at a rest area 47 miles from home because I ran out of hours on my 70 due to not getting my reset in last week, and running on recap all week. Last time I'll make that mistake.
That's semi accurate, it depends on how hard you run, your fleet manager getting you the loads to get there, for the most part, you'll gross that amount and based on your deductions you'll see around 1000. I'm also sure that is what you'll see after several months. It'll take that just to get used to your own regimen
first day of the month after 60 days of employment. My hire date was July 18, my benfits started Oct 1
How is TMC about maintenance on trucks? Do they give you a hard time about getting tires or breaks replaced? And where is all that done? I'm planning on applying and I'll be out of upstate ny.
They keep your truck maintenance done at terminals. They will route you towards one when its time. They will make sure its done specially if your truck is still under warranty. Ive seen guys who's trucks were close to maintenance that couldnt make a trip to get their PM done, they were told to park it, and they sent out one of their drivers with a RGN to recover the truck so they wouldnt go past the warranty time. Thats a good thing though. If you have issues, you message road repair on the qualcomm, and they will get it worked out quick.
That's nice for sure. I'm contemplating waiting till after the winter passes before I apply. How are they when it comes to holidays?
At TMC can you pick what type of flatbed trailer to pull and the type of loads? Like machinery above or flatbed that require tarping.. etc
