I gross around 1k a week, my take home after taxes and insurance is between 750-800. Im home weekly. Im also just starting out, it does take a few weeks to get used to running and to get into the groove of how to find your own way of doing things.

yes, must be in your own truck for 90 days, then you fill out the forms, it costs like $1 a day to do it, and its immediate family over age 10 only.

Bring new to driving, my view is one sided, however, I enjoy it, and tmc. They let me do my thing as long as it's done safely. I've got my sat radio sub, my laptop, microwave, fridge, and I'm good. Personally I can't see going any place else for the time being. I've talked to other company drivers from Mercer to prime, I like where I'm at for the time being. I'm doing research on buying my own truck, but that is something that is a long time away. In the mean time, I'll stay right where I am. I like it here. The insurance is great, the pay is in line where recruiters said if would be. I honestly can't wait to get back to des Moines for my tqm class to get feed back on how I've done so far.

What kind of places do you guys mostly pick up or deliver to? Construction sites and scrap metal yards?

Steel plants, distribution centers, dry wall manufacturers, rail yards, shipping yards, construction sites, down town major city's, out in the middle of no where in a hay field. You name it, I've either been there to pick up, or drop off.

I'm sure there are other places I've not been to.
