I'm just not a career truck driver, that's all. wife and I both hold 4 year degrees, she's a nurse, I have other options which I have no reason to discuss with truck drivers. my biggest problem with trucking is once you get in, you can never get out. tell another driver you're quitting and he'll say "who ya gonna drive for, driver?" horizontal mobility, not my thing, sorry.
It's okay to admit you couldn't hack it. Go sit in an office and make your a$z happy. Looks like you should get off a truckers forum if you are too good to be around them or converse with them. I mean, we are all just uneducated, toothless #######, right?
this is a recurring theme in the TMC forum when I express any criticism of the company. I hacked it 5 loads a week at TMC and got good at it after a while. hauled everything there is to haul on a flatbed safely and on time. not sure I'd call it being successful due to the low pay. I quit on good terms and still talk to my FM once in a while.
If you're going to continue to be a #### and insult people, I'll be more than happy to show you the door.
I'm not real sure pay has anything to do with being succesful. You could be successful at any job as long as you're happy doing what you do.
