Sadly the answer to the first question is NO. Yes most drivers can quote the HOS and a few other things like maximum weights, but for the most part there is general ignorance of the FMCSA and some of the state laws drivers run under. The answer to the next question is I guess it is possible but why do it? It is more important to know where to look to find an answer. Every trucker out there should have an up to date copy of the FMCSA rules with them.

    Absolutely wrong.
Your boss will deny and let you hang if you get a ticket.
Rule 1. Never Ever be scared to stand up to anyone in the office.

And no one knows all the rules.
Look at the regs and see if you can have alcohol in the sleeper while parked.
Some members will say never, but they cannot quote an exact paragraph. Me, I dunno

Wanna know the best way to start an argument between truckers? Pose this scenario.

Scale sign lights up and says truck must exit, but your prepass lights up green. Should I exit as the sign says or blow on by since I got the green light.

Grab some popcorn, because it's going to get good!

    That should answer your questions.

Green means go, snap a pix as you pass to prove it in court and then plan to counter-sue for damages incurred, lost time, atty's fees, etc......

I like popcorn, but only if it's made in a theater style machine or my Stir Crazy...
Green means go on by? Unless you're hazmat in a few states,
And you won't get chased down, if you do, the lil green light will still flash.
Plus don't take a picture because "hey officer, I was playing with my phone while I was driving and snapped these pictures as I was driving showing I got the green light . Officer, can I film you as you write me that darn $2,750 ticket for playing with my phone?"
