    I'd pull in.

of course the product my company pulls is so light I'm guaranteed to never be overweight, and I'm a 100 air mile exemption driver so no logs. and I do a full pre-trip because I'm paid by the hour so why not?

so what the hell. I'll pull in and humor the DOT. they wanna level one me? no problemo, sir, Timeclock's still tickin'

I wish you would quit spreading incorrect information on this site. Learn what you are talking about. The FMCSA does NOT publish the green book at all let alone every year. Take a look at the front cover and tell me who publishes it. Looks like JJ Keller to me but hey I am just a truck driver. Oh, and it is updated quarterly not yearly.

Here is a quote from the FMCSA site... they are not a book publisher.

Lucky. I never got to keep the atlas... had to return it after each class... and all said "property of dmacc" in huge permanent marker...

I also paid 200 dollars more than you! I feel ripped off!! =(

No, I don't know all the rules.

Neither does the DOT officer inspecting me.

There is a FAQ section on the prepass website that covers this. However it has been my experience that the officers will bring everybody in by giving everybody a red light if they are doing any DOT work there. While getting called inside by the signs and getting a green light can happen of course, it is rare outside of someone pulling hazmat or oversize. My last few years on the road I used prepass and I honestly don't remember this ever happening to me.

Call it what you will but that split hair on another subject could be the difference in a fine or OOS order or going on your merry way. This is not the first incorrect information you have given. Heck if I don't know I don't answer, simple as that.

There is a lot of good information on this site but there is also a lot of misinformation also. It gets real tiring reading people answering a question incorrectly because they have to be big on the forum. Not directing that at you but you have read their posts too. These guys are on the road with my kids and grandkids. Just take a look at the wreck in shelbyville tennessee and the u turn thread to see the stupidity.

It is hard enough for a new driver to get through that first year. Some drivers are like myself and have been around trucking all my life, my father was a trucker. However most new drivers don't have this background and sometimes we older more experienced drivers seem to forget that things we take for granted are tough for these guys. While who prints the green book is trivial, it is still misinformation and should not be posted in this forum. I don't own the website or make the rules here but the ones that do set up this forum for questions and I believe it is for all of us to watch out and keep ALL misinformation out, no matter how trivial!
