My Training instructor wants me to ask five drivers..

OK I would tell the instructor this - there are no rules.

There are laws and regulations ONLY and when it comes down to those laws and regulations, he is supposed to teach you the important ones and teach you how to find those other ones.

If he says otherwise, I would tell him he needs to learn English.

 

I drive local and have not driven otr for 5 1/2 years, but this always happened to me on I40 West in Arizona. I never pulled in and it was the same scenario every time I went by this particular scale house. Never got chased down for bypassing.

 

Run hard, be reliable, be available to do any load, and run economical and you'll never ever have any issues about getting home time.

 

I do know that its a bad idea to drive thru a banks parking lot with your tandems slid all the way back. Also, its a bad idea to pick your nose while driving on a bumpy road. Don't steer your truck with your feet while driving thru a DWI check point.
