Forgot to tell you, the truck has to be running for the gauge to register the weight, and do you know about the exterior light check feature on the prostar ?
skyviper73 Thanks this. -
I did see the "Light Check" switch, but I don't know how it works or what it really does.
-
If I'm not mistaken the button on bottom left of dash with green light on it if you hold it down for several seconds it will do a pre trip light check...turns on all lights and turn signals as well as brake lights to check everything
skyviper73 Thanks this. -
So I push that button for a few seconds and jump out of the truck to see if everything is on? I'll have alot of things to play with when I get back to my truck.
-
is there an owners manual in the truck or one you can download?
skyviper73 Thanks this. -
not one in the truck, I did find one online from CRE for their Prostar trucks. Probably close to what I have.
-
Yup, with key on, truck running or not, hold button for 3 to 5 seconds, it will cycle to lights on and off. Mine is marked work light not sure if they are all the same.
Nitemare13 and skyviper73 Thank this. -
OK, here is a question for current Choice drivers. Have any of you used load boards outside Schneiders load board and how does that work. Can you call Schneider and have them book the load you found on say the DAT load board? I understand that Schneider would still get their percentage, but subscribing to an outside load board would really open up options in regard to planning and revenue. For $8.75 per week you can subscribe to the DAT board and see a ton of freight that isn't on Schneiders load board. Is it possible book these loads through Schneider? Has anyone tried this or have any experience with this?

I don't think SNI will book outside freight for you - in fact I don't think they want to get involved in that at all. I remember hearing that if you pull freight for an outside company you have to have all the SNI logos covered up on your truck. I'm not sure about insurance, etc., etc., but I gather that it's generally not worth the amount of effort. I could be wrong though.scatruck and skyviper73 Thank this.
