    I need to ask some veterans on here this: how can a company not have a training program where somebody goes out with a trainer for a period of time to learn the ropes? How can one expected to learn the ropes straight out of truck, driving school and succeed? I’m not going to go with this company so I will mention that it’s Trans Am out of Olathe Kansas.

    I’d seen on your other thread where you posted $80 a day for training, over the course of 6 weeks? That seems awfully low, even the company I’m at which isn’t known for stellar pay offers 150$ a day for training. I know you also mentioned the commute time, you should really factor that in to your decision, trucking is a tiring job, and I personally would see a pretty big hassle having to tote your stuff to and from every week dealing with a commute like that. Ive seen Rowland out in TX quite a bit, so I’d assume you’d be doing more than just the tri state area. Not trying to rain on your parade, simply encouraging you to make an informed decision.

    The reason why I ask is because there is two companies named Rowland out of Dadecity. I believe there is a blog on the green one on here.

    I’ve seen both, but I can see where the confusion lies. Didn’t realize they were separate entities.
