to make a long story short, I will be contacting the DMV and explaining them my current situation and saying that if in the future I can re-obtain my CDL. I really enjoyed it while it lasted and I’m glad I made the contacts I did.

You should be able to go to your DMV and self certify as either "Excepted Interstate" or "Excepted Intrastate". Your will keep your CDL and when/if you are ready to drive again, just get a new DOT physical and take it to your DMV.
I did this for several years and even renewed my CDL while in the "excepted" category.

I contacted my drivers license bureau or whatever you call them and they said I can easily get my CDL back by 2031. Sorry for the short message as I am donating blood platelets.

There is some thing I want to clarify and that is what happened at my old job.

I had my CDL, and my plan was to eventually drive for the owner. Now the owner had treated me like someone who is mentally retarded. Granted I have high functioning autism but honestly, he always gave me the lowest of the low jobs. I was paid lower than any other employee. There would be times I would be harassed and there would be times the owner would be little me.

The final straw was when somebody flicked a live cigarette into a garbage can, and threatened to beat me up. I told the office staff that if he ever did that again, the cops would be called and I would be pressing charges against their contractor as he was a 1099 contracted employee.

when I told my sister this, we decided enough was enough and I sent them a message via text and email saying that they had my two weeks notice. They told me to keep my uniforms and told me that they would give me a good reference. honestly, I did not need a reference in order to obtain this job that I have right now.

when I found my job over at Dunkin, it was pure luck and open till now I have decided not to share this information. I just want you guys to know that I’m not against doing any thing that’s below me but I refuse to be treated like garbage.

This is why I would not want to do any other job in the US besides truck driving. Those sorts of work environments are way too common in the USA. Usually it's the co-workers that are just plain mean, but I once had a manager like that at the pizza franchise I worked at. He enjoyed making fun of the workers. Eventually I got fed up with his BS and spoke with the regional manager about his behavior. Not sure why so many in that country feel the need to be crass and disrespectful.
