there is no trolly or johnson bar in the volvo's... and yes, the incident was reported at the time of it, but nothing happen'd for 3 weeks..Like I've stated.. there was no damage to anything. but yes.. we intend to hire an attorney for the dac repair. I'm sure, a good dac that we did have, will be trashed when this is all said and done.
How much trouble is it going to be to get another job after this?? anyone know?

Don't spend the money on attorney...you can write a rebuttal challenging what USX put on your DAC report, and they will enter it on your report, and perspective employers will see your side of the issue when your DAC is pulled. Its a heck of alot cheaper then hiring an attorney. Just my 02.
LostOne9 and The Challenger Thank this. -
The spring break in the break chambers get week on every truck over time. When hooked to a trailer and u use both the red and the yellow break valves u would never know the tractor parking break didn t work. With a bobtail tractor they probably would hold because the spring were only weak. This is nothing that would found in a pre trip. With any auto tranny truck I've ever seen u cant put the truck in gear with the break on to "tug" on the breaks, and doing a trailer tug with the trolley valve or johnny bar only checks the trailer break operation so I don't see how that's even relevant if the truck had one. Unfortunately the only way your going to find weak spring breaks is when the truck rolls when it s not supposed to

i don't want to argue here.. but to any driver that's been out there for any length of time... How many chalks have you accidently on purpose ran over??? if the truck and trailer are going to move.. a little chalk won't stop it. and as I said. the chalk wasn't even touching the tandems, plus there was only one. It still doesn't mean a defective truck should be put on the road without being throughly gone over by a qualified mechanic.
