    It may be close or look like it's close but the piston does not hit the injector for it to operate. The pushrod does the injecting.

    If you look on the bottom of the injector you'll see nothing is hitting it.

    It could not work that way anyway because injection is before top dead center.

    You're right. Did a measurement and it's unbelievable how close the piston is from the injectors. They look good though.
