n14 cummins BAD VIBRATION!

A friend had similar problem a couple years back and it was a cracked bell housing on a N 14 with a 13spd. To save money,Detroit got a salvage bell housing. It looked the same,but it would shake so bad it shook nearly every bolt loose on the engine.It finally cracked that bellhousing and realized it was the wrong one for his engine after 13000 in repairs on them.Good luck

 

Anytime a flywheel housing is installed on an engine it needs to be dialed in to within .006 thousands of the centerline of the crankshaft. Failure to do this can quickly tear some things up. Just bolting it up and go won't work.
