N14 Cummins hard start

    The test ports on the fuel pump give you lots of good info if you use them. I believe 25psi is the magic number for the n14 to start. There are several ways to get 25psi to the injectors by bypassing parts of the fuel supply system. Ecm cooler check valve, Last chance filter on the fuel pump, leaking ecm cooler, leaking fuel lines, leaking fuel splitter on top of tranny, fuel lines collapsed internally, bad fuel filter(dirty, leaking, defective), worn fuel pump, fuel shutoff valve bad or power supply problem. There are lots of options. Some of them quite costly. Test, check , and troubleshoot as much as possible before pulling out the checkbook. The same problem on 2 different trucks may present different symptoms due to installation differences of filters etc. My particular problem may return but I hope not...
